THANK YOU
.
will open officially on May 11.
Starting out our hours will be
Wednesday 7-7
Thursday, Friday and Saturday 7-2
Pat, at Wayne’s Deli,
graciously allowed me to crash at her store since last August.
But as of May 1st I will be cutting
cheese at Bayside Market Cafe on Wednesdays and going to the Farmers’
Market on
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
You will be able to buy some cheeses at the cafe even when I am at the
Farmers’ Market.
And you will be
able to see me Wednesday at the Café, too.
Spring is here and lots of new
growth and new changes.
Sandy and
I will be heading off to Chicago to attend the Fancy Food Show this
weekend.
I will be seeing and
learning about new cheeses and accompaniments for them.
I already have added Organic olive oil
to my offerings.
And you will be
able to do an olive oil tasting at the tasting bar at the Café.
Sandy is looking to get some sweet and
salty things for you to pick up in the Bayside Market Café.
We tasted some great wines on Saturday
and have stocked French sparkling lemonade, great juices and Tynant water,
too.
Her Bayside Blend
coffee is smooth and terrific.
We are getting all the things you need for the
perfect lazy summer picnic or party.
Is there anything you’d like to
see?
Anything you can’t find
around here?
The
farmers’ market opens on the 7
th
of may.
See you there.
New this week ************
Romao Queso al
Romero
This artisanal sheep's milk cheese from Cuenca is hand-rubbed with oil and
fresh rosemary and aged in caves for eight months. Estanislao and his brother
have been making the cheese for many years -it is chewy and complex with a long
finish that highlights the rosemary.
I love this cheese.
Anyone
who has tried and liked Manchego should give this a try.
See you soon. Kathleen, The Cheese Lady 231.744.8652
