on Thursdays and Saturdays.





There is nothing like the European markets!!!
Cheese everywhere!

Last Saturday we tried to make Elle a "market" baby.
Didn't work.  She was not at all amused.

After market we headed up north for the annual
Riegler birthday party.  Beautiful day!!
I played Cheese Lady as my dish to pass, of course.

This week I bought a mountain of COTSWOLD.
And BRIE.
Tired of running out.

Cotswold cheese

English Cotswold

is a variation of Double Gloucester cheese to which chives have been added.

The chives add a savory and pungent flavor to the creamy cheese.

Cotswold pairs well with beer, and is thus considered a "pub cheese".

It also melts well, similarly to cheddar, and is often served melted on slices of bread.

It was invented at Long Clawson Dairy and there is only one true Cotswold.

The Cotswold I sell is from Long Clawson.

Cotswold BBQ Salad
Ingredients        
Cotswold chesses, cubed                     
cooked baby new potatoes                 
sliced black olives
chopped spring onions
cherry tomatoes, halved
French beans, halved and blanched

Packet of Spinach leaves or rocket
Method
Combine all salad ingredients in large bowl,
 pour on a light vinegarette, toss and  serve.
