The Cheese Lady had a 3 week computer break.
But I was thinking about you!!
In Florida, we did a busman's holiday
(when you go around and visit places like you work)
and visited 5 markets.
Fun.  Fun.  Fun.
I was invited to join a few, too.
None of the markets were as large as ours.
Most of them were in their infancy, 2 - 4 years.
And the selection was fun but limited.
I will say that the Leesburg Saturday Market
was really interesting because the city is 100% behind it
and the market manager actually goes out and recruits
new vendors. In Leesburg, the town hall was physically
moved back from the street to create a city square.
The market goers go off to visit the shops
or have breakfast or lunch nearby.
No cheese people!!!
But seafood, and bread and herbs and spices
and pasta and baskets and nuts and boiled peanuts
and carving and veg and fruit
and a booth where
the FRIENDS of the market sell t-shirts
and promote the upcoming local events.

    FRIENDS OF THE MARKET MEETING
FEBRUARY 21 AT THE CHAMBER, 5:30 PM.
Small, but determined turnout last week.
We'll pick our battles carefully.

I returned on Saturday last week
and took off on Monday, 1/29, for Cleveland
with Sarah and Elle.
We drove and drove, and we found an apartment
in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
Near Todd's office and the library and the rec center.

CHEESE
I just got a big load of everything!
Parmigiano Reggiano,
goat cheese, Manchego.

I'm set pretty well on cheese all the way around.
